Community Involvement

Ireland Stapleton has a tradition steeped in community service. We have sunk deep roots in the community through service to and support of local charitable organizations. For example, we have a decades-long relationship with the Denver YMCA that has spanned three generations of lawyers at the firm. Our attorneys also make significant contributions to and serve as leaders in organizations such as the Colorado Lawyers Committee, the Mile High Down Syndrome Association, and the Colorado Special District Association. Indeed, because of a lifetime commitment to community service, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper honored our late partner, Monte Pascoe, in 2006 by establishing the Monte Pascoe Civic Leadership Award.

Our firm is committed to building on this rich history of service and finding new opportunities to support local organizations. In 2005, associates and staff established the Community Action Committee, which carries out an annual action plan for philanthropy and community service. The Committee has organized teams from among the Ireland Stapleton family to build houses for Habitat for Humanity, to make blankets for the homeless, to collect school supplies and toothbrushes for needy children and canned goods for Food Bank of the Rockies.

We also field teams to participate in and fundraise through running and cycling events such as the eRace Homelessness Race for Senior Support Services and the MS 150 events. We are particularly proud of our sponsorship of the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations' "Wheels of Justice" team, which has raised more than $250,000 for The Children's Hospital in the last two years.

At Ireland Stapleton, we support our community with the same kind of zeal with which we represent our clients.
